The hardware is Gun Metal Plated The casing is turned out of Maculata and treated with a mixture of oil and beeswax. The wood is classed as a hard wood and originates from Australia. To change the refill just unscrew the bottom tip, Remove the old refill and replace it with a new refill. It uses a standard Parker type refill. Take care not to lose the spring.
